Dan Stockton who is wanting to challenging Congressman Ellsworth sent out this letter last night. And sense the media never wants to offer up any space for anyone that wants to challenge the pretty Congressman, I told him I would post his letter.  Enjoy!

Congressman Ellsworth Believes the 8th District is Evansville

Congressman Ellsworth announced that he would speak to his constituents about the proposed healthcare plan.  He wants to hear what the people have to say.  That is, if you can be in Evansville between the hours of 8am to 5pm on a Thursday.  That’s right, folks.  As long as you don’t reside in any of the other 17 counties in the 8th district and if you either don’t work or can take off from work, you can possibly speak with the Congressman in HIS office on HIS time.  I’m certain he’ll get a great cross-sectional response that indicates accurately how we all feel about Obamacare.  Riiiiggghhhtttt

I for one am tired of Congressmen that claim concern for the people and act like this.  I’m sure we’ll hear in the media how Congressman Ellsworth marked this down as not only a successful meeting of his constituents but also how he’s showing concern by getting their opinion before the vote.  I want to know where HE stands.  I want to know why he couldn’t have at LEAST scheduled a time more convenient to more people and a place more centralized in the district.  I want to know that he’s accessible and I don’t see from this event that he is.

I’ve been spending a lot of time driving around this district, stopping in small towns, talking with business owners and people in the streets.  I’ll admit I haven’t YET been to every county, but I’ve only missed TWO so far.  I know what the constituency thinks and the resounding answer is NO!  We don’t want the government to take over our health care any more than we wanted them to take over our banks and our auto industry.  I hope in the coming months and in the following year that everyone sees whom Congressman Ellsworth represents and it’s not we the people.

Candidate for Congress

  1. Ellsworth is a tool. He and that tax happy Mayor from Evansville are perfect together. You get what you vote for people. If you vote for a tool, you’ll get a tool.

  2. If Ellsworth is a “Blue Dog” then a “Blue Dog” is a dog that barks but doesn’t bite. He protests when bills are introduced but falls into line when it comes time to vote. The only Indiana congressman more liberal than Ellsworth, according to the Americans for Democratic Action, is Visclosky

  3. I hope Mr Stockton can bring down Congressman Ellsworth as he is a Blue Dog Democrat in Name only as he follows what Pelosi and the Democratic house leadership tell him what to do.I found that out when I found out that he voted for the stimulus bill,Obama’s Budget proposal to the congress and him not having a public Town Hall meeting in different parts of the 8th district.I may vote absentee in the 8th district and live outside of the USA but I still try to keep up with Congress Ellsworth and his voting record and I can tell you I am not impressed.

  4. I don’t know this Dan Stockton fellow so it’s hard to say if he will be the Republican nominee for Congress. I do believe that the right candidate, with the help of Obama, can either take Ellsworth down in 2010 or seriously damage him in what will be Obama’s defeat in 2012. The ‘right candidate’ needs to make his/her name as the ‘Anti-Chicken’ in contrast to Ellsworth no longer being the Sheriff, but the timid little puppy who hides under the couch when the thunder rumbles.
