Sheriff Joe Arpalo, “America’s Toughest Sheriff”, is coming to Sullivan on Aug. 21st. Sheriff Joe – as he is known, will be at the Sullivan County 4-H building at 12:00 noon for a cookout fund-rasier sponsored by the 8th District GOP. Tickets to this event are $25 per person or $40 per couple.
Best known for his tent city and pink underwear, Sheriff Joe is no stranger to controversy, or to up holding the law in Maricopa County, Arizona. According to media outlets, the Sheriff and his deputies conducted another illegal alien round-up today. Even though Arizona’s new tough immigration law was striped of most of it’s teeth by a President Clinton appointed judge, he wouldn’t stop enforcing the law.
