Recently, Democrat candidate for 8th District Trent “Tiger” VanHaaften visited Terre Haute to talk about something he knows nothing about – job creation.
Tiger has a dismal rating from both the Indiana Chamber of Commerce as well as the Indiana Builders Association. He talks about creating jobs as a congressman, but didn’t do anything toward job creation as a State legislator. He voted in lock step with the Pat Bauer on all major issues. Each bill that came his way that would cut taxes or put people to work, he voted against.
Why would anyone think that Tiger would stand up against Nancy Pelosi and vote against his party and do something for job creation. Brad Ellsworth didn’t.

As a former Knox County Republican Party Chairman and long time party activist, T.J. understands the political dynamics of the 8th district. Assisting in several local, state and national campaigns, T.J. gained insight and knowledge that is invaluable to the task ensuring conservatives are elected to political office. After a friend asked him to take over Bloody8th.com, he jumped into the world of political blogging. He hopes to put his expertise and knowledge of 8th District politics to good use in this crucial election year.
